There is Fall in Texas.

And it is VERY pleasant! We left the hot and humid summer for fabulous 80 and sunny weather. We visited the pumpkin patch and Kaden wanted to be a pirate. We went to the ward Trunk or Treat, and then Kaden went trick or treating on Halloween with friends, as I had just given birth to #2 and was in no condition. Though I was tempted for the immediate satisfaction of chocolate...

The one in which we move to TX (and more).

Most of you know we moved to Texas in late July. It was quite the change from the East Coasts of NJ to the south in TX. The biggest change: consistent HOT & HUMID weather. And here it is, December 2nd, and it's 80 degress and we are in shorts--LOVE IT! We drove the 30+ hour drive with help from Matt's parents (Notice Kaden's shirt: "Road trips are fun!-- he did REALLY well). And our summer here consisted of lots of play groups, pool trips, and splash pads--Thank goodness Texas has them in abundance. We also live right across the street from the park, so we go almost every day.

Kaden also turned 3 in October! We had a car themed party, rented a bounce house and had his friends over--so much fun, but SO tiring. Hard to believe our Kaden is 3!!!

Year in Review: Mar & Apr

 Learning how to build a fire...the hard way. I have a picture of me in a very similar outfit from Kindergarten. I thought I'd recreate it.

 Fishing: Kaden loves to stand by the water with a stick and pretend to cast a line. He'll raise the stick up and say, "Oop! I caught one!" and then he'll throw the fish back. SO cute.

 For Easter, we drove down to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and met up with Matt's parents and friends. It was a lot of fun, and always good to be with family on the holidays.
