We took a family road trip 4th of July weekend to Boston. Saw lots, but we learned a great lesson: You can't do all of the historical sight-seeing with a toddler!!! But he was good and we all had fun. We even got to see some old friends from college--thanks for dinner, Brooke & Derek! :)

Kaden is a counter! I often count cars as they go by, or the steps as we descend, and just the other day he said a couple of numbers in order (4,7). Then, yesterday we were counting blocks and he counted from 2-10!!! What a smarty-pants. Love to hear that little voice.

My Dad came out to visit for a few days this past month! It was great to see him, especially because it's been almost a year--life is hard when your family lives so far away...But it was a lot of fun and Kaden got to know his Grandpa better and has changed a lot since he last saw Grandpa. We also went to Cincinnati to visit Matt's parents. A long weekend is just too short. But it was lots of fun--taste of cincinnati (YUM), Graeter's ice cream, games, friends, Kid museum. Thanks for the fun LaLa & Papa!
