Year in Review: Mar & Apr

Learning how to build a fire...the hard way. I have a picture of me in a very similar outfit from Kindergarten. I thought I'd recreate it.

Fishing: Kaden loves to stand by the water with a stick and pretend to cast a line. He'll raise the stick up and say, "Oop! I caught one!" and then he'll throw the fish back. SO cute.

A fun little bounce house we took Kaden to. This little girl below just took Kaden under her wing and took him down the slides. He had a ton of fun with her.

For Easter, we drove down to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and met up with Matt's parents and friends. It was a lot of fun, and always good to be with family on the holidays.

Year in Review: Jan & Feb

sSo this year has already started to fly--can't believe it's almost June. These next few posts are piccs from the year in review. Not all, just some of my favs.

In my mind I'm going to California.

This is a little tale of our Christmas break in CA (Long time coming):

Kaden and I flew out about 2 weeks before Matt. We got to enjoy Natie's soccer games, school with Mimi (& Santa), and visit with friends. We also got extra Mimi & Grandpa time--which was fun because we don't see them too often. The biggest hit: magnetic building shapes. They were awesome! Kaden loved them, and all of his aunts/uncles, and all adults were building. Pretty addicting. The ENTIRE crew came up by Christmas Eve, which we spent at home acting out Luke 2, in costumes, of course & frisbee golf. Kaden had so much fun with his cousins and all of the attention from aunts, uncles, grandpa, & mimi. Christmas Day was quite crazy though, with early church, kids wanting to open presents, coffee cake eating (one of the BEST parts of Christmas!), and family pictures. Then we loaded up and went to Grandma's for the feast with our Mom's side of the family. 29 people descended on my grandma's home, and it was chaotic craziness, but you gotta love it.

The next day, we picked up another addition to our party and drove to Tahoe, where we had been expecting snow and got 60 degree weather with zero snow on the ground! My parents rented a HUGE cabin (if it can be called a cabin) with 4 bedrooms, huge loft, open kitchen/living room/dining room, spa & just gorgeous. We easily fit our 25 people group and the festivities began! Ice skating, food, hiking, Xbox dance off, Jagoda olympics which included: price is right, fishing, marshmallow shooting, and xbox play. What a fun and quick 5 days. Loved being with all of my family, wish we could do it sooner. Some pics to illustrate:
