I can't believe Kaden is already standing up! As soon as he masters one thing he moves onto the next! His bumps and bruises are also increasing as the falls get tougher. Here's our little mover!

7 months & the beach!

Kaden is already 7 months. Each day he looks more and more like a little boy and not my baby. Here are some fun Kaden facts:

-He loves to bounce

-He's starting to pull himself up

-Kaden will do almost anything to get water, cell phone, tags, ensigns, remote

-He is a fast crawler!

-Kaden will crawl to wherever we are in the house

-He especially loves to try and get to the bathroom before we catch him

-Enjoys interacting with other kids

-Smiles at everyone

-Loves walks, especially when it's windy

On another note, we went to the beach this past weekend--Kaden's first time! It was so much fun and Kaden loved it! He didn't even put the sand in his mouth but had so much fun feeling it. He liked to watch the birds and the water come up to our feet. He did touch the water but wasn't a fan because it was so cold. We had a motel across the street from the beach which was perfect. Can't wait to go again!

Home Sweet Home.

What a journey it is to the other side of the country! Kaden and I had a 5 1/2 hr flight, a 1 1/2 hr layover in Phoenix, and then a 2 hr flight to get to Sacramento, CA! Needless to say it was LONG. But Kaden, on his first airplane ride, did amazing! Even though he didn't nap much, he didn't cry the entire trip out! He had plenty of attention on the plane and loved it--he's such a ladies' man.

While out in California, Kaden met a lot of exteneded family, including my brother who returned from his 2 year mission in England! It was great to see him and attend his homecoming report and talk. My oldest sister was also able to come up for the event. And I caught up with some friends--though we all forgot to take pictures. It was a lot of fun, but we definitely missed Matt and were happy to come back home.

Flying Solo...Tips?

Good news: My brother comes home from his mission in a week and we will be in California to see him! It's a surprise and he doesn't know!

Bad news: Only Kaden and I will be going.

Translation: I will be on an 8 hour plane ride plus a layover with our little boy on his first ever plane ride.

Help!!! Any tips out there on how to make the trip more enjoyable/easier with a 6 month old? Tips or advice you have from previous experience would be greatly appreciated!

6 Months old!

I say it every month--I can't believe how old he is! He grows so fast and keeps us on our toes. He's quite a happy baby as long as his tummy is full and he's had sleep. We love him so much! His latest stats:

27 1/4 inches tall (75%)

16 lbs 12 oz (50%)

16 3/4 inch head circumference (25%)

Some favorite things:

*Rolls over and scoots any chance he gets--good luck changing a diaper!

*LOVES to suck on the kitchen tile

*LOVES to pull down the stack of Ensigns and suck on them
*LOVES to look at himself in the mirror

*Will chase an empty water bottle and cell phone around the room all day

*Laughs whenever we laugh

*Enjoys eating

*Talks and talks and talks and talks...

*Power naps--meaning his naps aren't very long!

*He's a foot-sucker

*Thumb-sucker

*Diet consists of: Milk, oatmeal, rice, sweet potatoes, squash, and bananas

*Reading is his favorite past-time

Kaden is crawling....almost. It has been fun to watch him become mobile, although we have to keep a much closer eye on him now. He has the rocking part down-he just needs to put one knee in front of the other. Hope you enjoy this short clip

Happy Easter!

So it's a little late, but better than never. While Kaden was napping and in between Conference Sessions, Matt and I dyed eggs for the first time since we've been married. It was actually a lot of fun. We hid the eggs in the back and when Kaden woke he found all six--with some help. Kaden also started veggies, and he loves to eat no matter what it is...but we haven't started the green veggies so we will see if that lasts! :) Kaden also scoots everywhere! He gets up on his knees and toes with his butt in the air! We have to keep a sharp eye on him at all times now. I guess training for the future of crawling! :)
